"It's not as if I ask anything unreasonable." Joachim said as he frowned. Across the little glade, his horse idly chewed on some grass and watched him. "I give you oats and sugar cubes. You carry me places. This is a mutual agreement."
His horse spits a wad of grass onto a rock and whinnies.
"I . . . see." Joachim says, and scratches his head. His knapsack is currently sat atop the horse's rump. His tent lies within it. Without the tent, he cannot camp, and there is a large mass of dark clouds approaching from the east that makes him inclined to want to camp very soon.
A conundrum.
"Sugar cube?" Joachim says helplessly, and offers one on his hand. The horse snorts and starts to wander off.

It had only been a little less of cycle since Nayi had returned from Sven, departing her company from the Blind Prophet and that of Puck the Bright, an optimistic fairy who, in comparison, was just was strange as the Prophet himself. Happily obtaining small vials of the water from the Lake of Mirrors would do her good in the near future, as the herbs she had collected would be put to use in more antidotes, verses her trademark in poisons.
Now, she had found herself back into the outskirts of Namos, the border to the Kabal Capital within eye distance if you were to steady your vision upon the horizon to the North. She had no objective, oddly enough. That it had been one of those rare days in which she took for herself to simply explore and rest upon the nature Aedai had to offer. But never did she expect to run into someone at this time of day, especially taking the back routes that she had mapped by hand.
"I give you oats and sugar cubes. You carry me places. This is a mutual agreement," the voice chanted, almost in a matter-of-fact way, or so Nayi took it. Taking caution, the girl dispersed into a handful of orchid-colored petals, dancing through the gentle wind as she observed. A man and a horse- presumably, his own, as the creature was lathered in ropes and luggage.
Becoming rather quickly fascinated by the scene, the Porter fluttered into a tree near by the duo, making haste as the petals flowered over a large shimmer, soon revealing that of the woman.
"Uh- excuse me, sir..." the timid voice called out of the tree, sky-line eyes focusing on that of the Magundi. "Are you having trouble? This isn't the safest of places to really be taking a break..."

Joachim blinks. "Probable." he agrees. "I'm not taking a break, per se. My equine companion is dissatisfied, apparently. He is taking a break from me. And my possessions along with him."
He plants a hand on one hip and frowns. "Not unusual, I admit, but he is being rather more difficult to soothe this time."
The horse whinnies from the other side of the meadow and backs into a tree. Something in the knapsack goes crunch.
Joachim's face sours.

Listening to the man's words, Nayi's attention bounced between the two - the Mag and the Horse. "I see... It is... unfortunate." The Porter was slightly puzzled at the scene. A creature taking a break from it's companion is nothing new to common days, but the fact the horse was being rather emotionally hostile, it interested her.
"Have you tried feeding it something new? I don't think anyone would be happy if they had to eat the same servings day by day. Rather a picky life-style or not," she mentioned, a small drench of guilt in the pit of her stomach. While she was trying to help the nameless man, sure, but her words only spoke of self experience she had been through during her permanent living within Kabal Walls.
The horse trampled a moment in fitted whines as it backed its' hind structure to the bark of a tree. A distinct cruuunch! hissing from the knapsack attached. A small frown pitied the girls' face as she looked back to the male, his soured expression answering to her inaudible question. "I... uhm, is there any way I could possibly help?"

Joachim mulls over that for a moment, then brightens. A smile curves out his lips and he snaps off a reflexive, deep bow in the direction of the voice. "I hadn't even considered that! I'm sure I can find some wild onion around here, and maybe some chamomile . . . "
The mixbreed glances about the meadow and ambles over to the characteristic green-white sprig of an onion, and begins to pluck them up. "I'm oblivious to culinary concerns, but I suppose if I spent my life cantering and eating grass, the variety of said grass would matter a lot."
Joachim glances up owlishly. "Oh. And thanks."

Taken by the instant reaction of the dramatic bow, Nayi pulled a hand to her face in brief concern, this man a bit out of the norm for her normal trackers. Continuing to watch him waddle back and forth before coming across the variety of grass, the Porter took a quick glance to his bucking companion, a hushed smile over her lips as she nodded.
"My pleasure. Does it have a name?" she pointed a small finger to the quad-limb beast.
