Evening, Dissimulation.
I first want to welcome our new members and apologize / thank you for your patience and our lack of activity here recently. With it coming down to the end of the school year, things are becoming much more hectic.
First things' first, expect to see a lot of updates, from plots to rules, even. These will be updated here as they come along, as well as the templates themselves.
While over this week I will be updating our Sidebars and archiving that of the old threads, and if you did not response to May's Activity check, well, your account has already been removed. I will be scheduling forth new objectives for events and plots alike, with the help of our fully-equipped staff now. With the cooperation of not only the Staff, but members alike, I hope to see Dissimulation bloom like it once did upon its' opening.
Also- This will be Part 1 of June's Activity Check, and I will appreciate it if you guys can reply with a check in, and any questions/concerns. More updates to come as we progress forward, and I wish to all happy hunting.

I'm still here! ;D
And I have a question, as well. I was wondering if it's strictly necessary to do an activity check every single month, if the board continues to be as slow as it has been. It's obvious who's here and who's not, because only a few threads are active. And I understand having us post in here is useful, because it allows you to keep tabs on who's checking for updates and who's not, but it seems kind of unnecessary to me. Still it's not hurting anything and I'm sure you have reasons, but I was just curious. C:
And I was wondering what happens the accounts of those individuals who don't post here. What do you mean exactly by 'removed?' Gone forever? Because it seems to me that if they are removed for good, with the board being this slow it's kind of like shooting ourselves in the foot, since those accounts are people who could come back and help bring up activity. Again I'm sure you have your reasons but I was reading this and started wondering. C:

People left right after the first activity check we had, a lot of people I can think of about four or five. So we honestly needed to check who was here and who wasn't. So it's not really in every month thing, it just needed to be done again, since where trying to clean up the site.
I really doubt there going to come back anyway, and leaving for so long without any warning like that, I don't know if those are the kinda people you want on a site anyway. I'm not trying to sound rude or anything about them, it's just If they want to come back then they can apply again with there characters again. I sent them all PM's quite some time before they were deleted and with no response. If your not gonna be on a whole month without warning then there isn't a point in being on.
I get loosing muse and real life stuff going on, we all have that, but if you care about the site and the people here you let them know.

Ryan is 100% spot on about this.
We had a handful of members who registered, and didn't even get a character up. There was no connection through PMs or Chatbox from these individuals, and I'm not too enthused with those who make accounts at sites just to leave them dry. I like to keep my member count updated specificly for those who come down and browse, and decide to join the site based off the activity. If there is 20+ members registered with only 3-4 active, its false advertising and its rude of the Staff to not keep in touch with these kinds of things, in my opinion.
I know it seems rather hastily for another activity check with the deluded activity, but now that Dissimulation is coming back on its feet, have a full staff, and more ideas in store, I was to see who is with us, and who is not. It will not be this constant as you do have a point- with a low amount of members, it is easy to tell without asking who is here and who is not. But I take the very example that we had 5 people from here alone, who disappeared without a word then come back 2-3 weeks later notifying us. While I would like to know before hand, I'm not dissing on anyone- I'm just saying that those who don't even come back after 2 months, you can't depend on them nor really expect much more other than silence.
As for those who were already removed - I do understand where you are coming from, and I thought the same thing at first- shooting ourselves in the foot especially in such a early stage of development. But is it really a bullet, or a blank, when the person shows no intentions of coming back anyway?
I'm looking to expand Dissimulation as much as I can with the help of the Staff now, and as soon as my Summer Term finishes in college (first term so its a bit stressful as to what to expect and what I'm getting), I'll definitely work towards making this place a lot better, with a lot more activity.
Regarding the May Events - I seen you post about Willow - yes, we will be down to five if people are still interested in the Island writing.
We are trying to clean the site up of dead accounts, discontinued threads, so on so forth.

I'm still here and I apologize for my lack of activity. There is no excuses I can offer for my absence and beg for your forgiveness about this. I'll still be role-playing with whoever I'm still role-playing with.
Again, I apologize for my long absence.
